The proceeds of the Crowdfunding project will provide much needed funds for SevGen’s soulful community work and our community led development projects.

The main project that everyone is sooooo excited about is the Modern Songlines project.

In our usual style we are prototyping our latest initiative with a small group of Warlpiri coming our way in 2015 after SevGen made the first journey to Warlpiri country in November 2014.

The young people will be given the opportunity to continue their education within a three-way approach in a learning place supported by SevGen. This initiative has their’s, their family’s, and their community’s strong support.

We will be organising opportunities for our local communities to hear Ancient knowledges directly from the people that have had continuous connection to these for millenia.

Stage 1 – QUIET PHASE:

From now until January 19th we are developing “THE KIT”. Information flyers, promotional material, gathering invites, ‘right to fundraise’ letters, ID lanyards, script, diaries, donations spreadsheets, Contact List, Thankyous.

How do you like these little beauties! Encouraging each person to build a team!

Stage 2– GATHERING OF GOOD PEOPLE EVENT:

Wednesday 11th February 3:30pm, Imperial Hotel Eumundi

This gathering is for the “Ring of Fire”- a first level group of supporters who will have their own team of 10 in no time.

After your senses have been stimulated at the world famous Eumundi Markets we will be gathering at the Imperial Hotel in Eumundi at 3:30pm to be witness to each others altruistic act of committing energy to SevGen. Our very own Liam Waller will entertain us with his ever growing list of songs.

Tea and Coffee with light snacks will be provided. SevGen will keep the pool table balls rolling.

Stay for a bit and have an early dinner with us.  We have heard the meals are exceptional.

Stage 3– BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME

From February 12th – March 15th the Ring of Fire members will be building their teams. We have planned many pop-up events and flashmob style gatherings to keep the momentum building so that we are all fired up for the crowd funding period.

Stage 4– CAMPAIGN START MONDAY 30TH MARCH 2015-MONDAY 27th July 2015

Go to COUNTER subpage for a visual of the progress. COB each Friday the counter will update. The counter will be stopped 2 weeks from the close date so that the outcome is a wonderful surprise at our “Throw Down Day” event.

Our tipping point goal is $20 000 which will be focussed on the Yupali Art and Workshop Gallery. All monies raised will be used to scale the Modern Songlines project.
